Broadway Center for the Performing Arts

Upcoming Performances

The Broadway Center for the Performing Arts is an energy source in the spirit of Tacoma – reveling in the exemplary, providing a platform and passion for arts education, and leading with a deep civic pride in our shared community.

In partnership with The City of Tacoma, the Broadway Center manages the largest complex of theaters between Seattle and Portland, including the historic Pantages Theater and the jewel box Rialto Theater (both built in 1918) and the contemporary Theatre on the Square.

Each year, the Broadway Center welcomes 250,000+ patrons, which includes a deep commitment to arts education programs serving 51,000 students, teachers and families.

Join the celebration for our 30th Anniversary season, as some of the best performers from around the globe and even from our own neighborhood take stage at Tacoma’s historic theaters.  From national tour kick-off of CHICAGO The Musical – starring John O’Hurley from ‘Dancing with the Stars’ and ‘Seinfeld’ to An Evening with Rufus Wainwright; theater productions of New York’s The Acting Company production of HAMLET, The Joy Luck Club, and August Wilson’s Joe Turner’s Come and Gone to family events with Potted Potter, Stunt Dog Experience, and Theatre of Illusion and much more – the year ahead promises a sense of wonder, extraordinary experiences and much joy to be shared by all!
